Help Desk Certificate
Program Objectives:
In a business enterprise, a help desk is a place that a user of information technology can call to get helo with a problem. In many companies, a help desk is simply one person with a phone number and a more or less organized idea of hoe to handle the problems that come in. In larger companies, a help desl may consist of a group of experts using software to help trach the status of problems and other special software to analyze problems (for example, the status of a company's telecommunications network).
This program is designed- To educate students interested in pursuing careers in help desk.
- To raise students' awareness of the importance of competent ethical behavior.
- To provide opputunities for further education for those already employed in the field.
- To prepare students to be able to accurately and efficiently (a) answer routine help desk questions; (b) display professionalism to clients and co-workers; and (c) utilize both specific and general application software.
