Computer and Information Technology
The associate of science degree Computer and Information Technology (ASCIT) is a two-year program that prepares the graduate to enter the field of information technology. It provides an entry level technical, academic, and experiential background in computer repair, computer networking and internetworking, and WEB based applications. The student is prepared to sit for national certification examinations in computer repair (CompTIA A+), computer networking (CompTIA NET+), and internetworking (Cisco Certified Network Associate, CCNA). Technical specialty courses in the program may be selected to provide background in electrical/electronic fundamentals, in related fields, or for certification in computer operating systems (Microsoft MCP).
